Paying and payouts

Not live

No real-money payment path is switched on. What exists today runs in test or sandbox modes, and final pricing is not yet published.

What's built

  • Card checkout through Stripe, test mode only (it refuses to run with a live key).
  • On-chain escrow for a deal, reported by GET /deals/{id}/escrow — tested on a public testnet only; { "onchain": false } when off.
  • Internal ledger. A double-entry sandbox ledger tracks gross, fee, holdback, seller net and refunds per hourly tranche. It is an internal record, not legal escrow.
  • Holdback. Part of each tranche can be held back for a period after delivery before release.
  • Seller-paid fee. Buyers pay the listed price; the platform fee is taken from the seller's side.

Draft fee schedule (2026-10-24.1), not final, subject to change

This is the implemented development schedule, not a final pricing commitment. Fees are seller-paid. The total contract value selects the band; the rate applies to each cycle's gross amount.

Total contract value (USD) Less than 30 days 1–6 months More than 6 months
$25 to < $2,500 15% 12% 10%
$2,500 to < $25,000 12% 10% 8%
$25,000 to < $250,000 9% 7% 6%
$250,000 to < $2,500,000 6% 5% 4%
$2,500,000 and above 4% 3% 2.5%
  • Lower band boundaries are inclusive. No deals below $25 per cycle are accepted by the fee-quote function.
  • When specified in days, exactly 30 through 183 days use the middle column; more than 183 days uses the last column. The 183-day interpretation of six months is an open assumption. When specified in months, 1 through 6 months use the middle column. If both are supplied, months takes precedence.
  • Renewals through Omega use 75% of the band rate (a 25% rate discount), then a $5 minimum fee applies per cycle. The same $5 minimum applies to non-renewals. A cycle cannot exceed total contract value.
  • The highest band returns negotiated: true; the rates above are the code's default calculation, not a negotiated offer.
  • Calculation uses integer micro-USD and rounds half up. The internal sandbox rate-lock helper does not enforce the quote function's cycle floor or minimum fee; do not treat sandbox tranche behavior as a final commercial quote.

For example, a $5,000 contract lasting 60 days with a $1,000 cycle has a 10% rate: $100 fee and $900 seller net. A renewal at the same values has a 7.5% rate: $75 fee and $925 seller net.

The fee-quote route is GET /api/v1/fees/quote. See Deals, orders & fees for parameters. Final pricing is not yet published.
